if you think about it, all 4 wheeled cars have 4 wheel steering,  with
the majority of them having 2 articulated wheels...

i think that the benefits of 4 articulated wheels have been implemented
to a certain degree by "flexible" rear ends that allow some toe under
load, which is where most of the handling benefits come from.

i have driven various nissans/infinitis with the HICAS system and found
them to be nothing out of this planet.

one of the car rags tested a 4wd mazda 626 through a slalom course
and found that after a few cones, the power steering pump ran out
of juice and froze up..... yeeeeeee
