Hi Steve,

I bought my TQC from Bruce Hochuli. He said he and his mechanic had a
diaphram from a 5kt and the one from my car side by side and that they were
different. I don't want to replace the entire wastegate as I'll lose the
adjustable boost modifications Bruce had done. Used TQC wastegates are $500
or more, but I'm concerned I'll have the diaphram cracking problem again in
the future. I need to solve this. I probably will buy the '85 5kt engine
that's selling for $250 here just for the wastegate as a test. If it
doesn't work, at least I'll have a water cooled turbo to use / rebuild
later! Or someone on this list will get a great deal on a turbo motor!
