'89 200 Stereo Upgrade

During my months of psuedo employment spent while following my girlfriend
(now fiancee) around the state, I spent a few weeks at Circuit City in the
Car Stereo dept. To clarify, Circuit City is NOT the place for top notch
audio gear, but they do have respectable mid-range stuff. One such unit was a
Panasonic in dash cd player, model CQ-DP628EU. This unit is amazing; we had
test discs that we're scratched up beyond recognition; the Panasonic was the
only one that would play the worst disc. It worked better than the best Sony,
Pioneer or JVC. It is also a great value; just bought one for da wife for her
Jeep; simply installation (Circuit city provides the wiring harness for 10$)
and the built in amp is very clean and sufficiently powerful. Cost: just
$259. I would suggest going this route in your Audi. The unit has a
detachable face, the amp is better than the Audi amp and the tuner is very
good. A simple $300 upgrade that will make a difference.
