certainly if the only criteria is $$$, used audis are the way to go..
the advantage to buying a new one is fairly obvious:
- full warranty
- you get to break it in gently
- you know the full history of the car
i wouldn't buy a S6 new today because for that kind of money i would
want the latest and the greatest from audi and the S6 is old, outgoing
stuff. if we are talking about $48K for a RS4 with the 280-340 bhp
(depending on who you listen to) V6 twin turbo that is not available
in the used market, then the asking price is not going to matter too
much to those who can afford it.
i suspect that when more and more gossip of the new models leak
out, the demand for S6 will drop and eventually we may even see
better discounts and lower used prices for S6s and wagons..
