Mind you, we may or may not see any of the RS cars here in the US. We 
haven't in the past... I heard Piech fired a lot of top people at Audi 
of NA - is that right? If so, maybe we'll start seeing a market 
strategy more in line with what most US-dwelling list members would 
probably like :-)

Oh, and Eliot: I agree with your assessment of S6 prices probably 
dropping when the newer hardware comes out. They'll probably plateau, 
though. The new body style and the appearance of the S6 wagon hasn't 
done a whole lot for the price of the 91 200qw, but it has made more 
available it seems.

| the audi rs4 (quattro) will be released around july '96
| timeframes.  it will be powered by a twin turbo 2.7 litre v6.

| 3) buy the rs4.  it'll me an awesome car if my drive of the

| i wouldn't purchase a new s6 now.  i think resale values for
| this model will drop with the rs line coming out.  2nd hand is
| another story though.  again, if you can wait a little after
| the formal rs4/rs6/rs8 announcements, there may be some good
| s6's on the market...
