Replacing a Bose stereo

All, 
        I saw a comment the other day regarding Bose stereos that made me
wonder.   i recently bought a '90 200t and i want to repalce the stereo
(yeah it's nice, but...), with my CD player I had in my '81 5k.   Is there
going to be a compatibility problem, or will they be able to just plug it in
there.   Any information would be appreciated.   Feel free to mail me
