Absolutely agreed on both points.  The F*** centre clutch/transfer case 
on the new Explorer sounds like a great idea.  By dithering the solenoid 
to the centre clutch, they can get nearly any torque split they want 
instantaneously, and on command by the computer.  It's also light, and 
strong.  Those are good words.
