Forget the balancer, that is a production assembly reference, split the zero
on the flywheel
- the dot on the cam sprocket is 3 teeth retarded! It is aligned
>perfectly with the top edge of the valve cover - not the gasket. 
If you are at zero(tdc) the cam mark should be a straight edge extension of
the valve cover rail to the back of the cam gear.....

Advance it should have the zero mark 1 tooth below the valve cover rail....


WARNING, dave....  You advance that cam, you WILL run 93-94 octane,
RIGHT?!!!?
