The highest price 4kcsq I've seen was one for $9500 (not a typo) a couple of
months ago.  I called the guy thinking he must have done at least a turbo
conversion but no, "I install custom car security and audio systems for a
living.  I would charge this much just for the gear and time I have into the
car."

When I told him his price was over double the high blue book price he
replied, "I have an offer for $8500 now."

To which I replied, "I'd take the money and run if I were you."  I guess he
should have accepted the offer because it was advertised in the Oregonian
again recently. :)
