Funny quote from WMB

I know this is off-topic, but thought it might be
amusing to some here.  This is from an Associated Press
release discussing the recall of some srimmeB:

  BMW sent letters in January to 3,149 owners of 1995
  models 740i, 740iL and 750iL, warning them of a possible
  mechanical problem in the suspension system involving the
  right rear wheel, said spokesman Tom McGurn. "We had no
  reports of accidents," McGurn said. "Under the worst
  circumstances, the wheel would stop functioning."

Ummm.... anyone know what it means for the wheel to
"stop functioning"?   :-)
