the roads were pretty good, since it had been somewhat dry.  they
were also well sanded.  did not see any wrecks on my way up..
nobody, including old rwd american cars got stuck...  it was
also probably overkill for me to go up there with 4 studded snow
tires.

on my way down i saw a state trooper with flashing blue lights stopped
ahead of me.  turned out that on a *slightly* icy patch there was a
nissan pathfinder completely belly up in the ditch!  the occupants
were not hurt but it was a horrible looking accident.  when are
insurance companies going to wise up and charge the sky for f***
trucks?
