You should see a peak of 1.8 at lower rpms.  To test, find a gentle grade
(uphill) with light traffic that will allow you to maintain speed of about
1500 rpm in 2nd or 3rd gear (prefer 3rd--your speed won't build so fast!).
Nail the throttle--you should see 1.8 bar on the gauge as a peak (1.7 is
probably close enough).  I do, no mods to the cpu.
