That depends on what type of stereo is in there.  My (now her) old '84 5kS had
a shaft-styled radio, no coathanger in the world would get it out.  You have to
pull the trim off of the centre console (look hard for the screws, they're
there, phillips heads, two next to the front seats & two at the dash, at the
glove-box level.)  Bit first you have to unscrew the shifter knob (not too
hard) and remove the leather shifter boot (single philips, righ in front of the
E-Brake lever.)  Once you get the trim off, there's four phillips holding a
metal plate that the radio mounts to.  Remove those four phillips screws, pull
the frame & radio out, then remove the knobs, undo both nutz on the radio
shafts, & the radio slides back throguh the frame.  Much more than 30-40
seconds, hope you've got the non-shaft type.
