Re: Replacing CV boot and FI Line?



What vintage (year) is your 5k?  On my 4k, CV removal and replacement was
a $50 and 30 min job for my mechanic.  

Jack up car

Remove wheel

Remove bolt holding tie rod in (you WILL need a new one)

Follow instructions in manual.  

If possible, put all CV grease inside the joint, not the boot.

You should NOT need alignment after this procedure.

CAVEOT:  This was done on 4kQ, your suspension may vary.
