<87 5KCSTQ> Audi Design stereo

My 87 has the 10 speaker system with the rear booster amp.  Getting ready to
slap a Nakamichi in - are the inputs to the booster amplified, as per the
front, or are they low impedance (line out)?  My Nak has line out for the
rear - can I assume I have to add an amp?
