Re: tailgaters



But, Brendan, it's one thing to tailgate briefly in preparation for a pass.  
It's an entirely different matter to tailgate someone for miles with no 
intention of passing.  Have you never encountered this?

I must point out, however, that if you are five feet from my bumper and I 
find it necessary to stand on my brakes for some reason (perhaps a dog or 
cat or kid jumps in front of me?) and you hit me from behind, YOU are at 
fault for not properly having your car under control.  Lawyer or no.
