90 Coupe stereo install

FWIW,
I istalled a Bluapinkt CD player in my 90 CQ. I kept all the stock speakers
*and* their built in amplifiers. Crutchfield has a unit that allows you to
by-pass the head units power supply and use the existing speakers power (about
$50, w/ wirering harness). This way you don't have to rewire all new speakers.
Makes for a pretty painless (plug-in-play) install. The down side? Doesn't
sound nearly as good as an aftermarket amp and speakers...:( But, sounds a
hell of a lot better than the stock unit and casette tapes....ugh! It also
makes it much easier to put the stock unit back in if you sell the car. Hope
