2500rpm idle problem solved !

And the winner is! Throttle position switch. I found an intermittent
connection between the connector and the microswitch. When I resoldered the
connection and reinstalled the switch, the idle was fine. Has been OK for a
couple of days, so I am sure it is fixed. I also checked the throttle
position switch on the grey quattro and the solder joints were cracked as
well, so I touched them up. The next time I drove the grey car, it idled at
2500rpm. Duh. I didn't push the connector on far enough, and it had fallen
off the switch. Popped it back on and Bingo! Normal idle.
                         Thanks for the help!
