Fender replacement

In a moment of total brain-fade, I wrapped the front left
fender of my '85 5KT around a pillar in the carport (I only
back out of my carport twice a day, you know :-().

The local Audi body shop wants $1,400 to fix it (which, I must
admit, is less than I thought it would be), but then I looked
in the Bentley to see if I could do it myself. Wonder of wonders,
	it looks like it's a simple bolt-off, bolt-on procedure!

Assuming I decide to do this myself, I foresee the following
	possible pitfalls:

	1. Will the fender be readily available (new, that is) to
	a DIY'er ? (probably).

	2. How will I get the fender painted the color of my car? Will
paint shops do just the fender before I install it?

Any tips would be appreciated. And if any one has a metallic
grey parts car or spare fender lying around, I would be interested !

	TIA.
