Safety Devices roll cages for 4kq...

To the best of my knowledge, it appears that no one is distributing Safety
Devices' roll cages in the US at this time.  That said, the April issue of
Excellence (a magazine about Porsches) has an ad from a company that calls
itself "Tweeks" and in it, they feature a Safety Devices roll cage for the
Porsche 911 and other models.  The 1996 Demon Tweeks catalog has a listing
for an Audi 80 so SD definitely *does* offer one to fit the 4kq.

Tweeks number's (800) 421-3776 ... maybe they can arrange to special order
one for a 4kq or at least pass on the name of their source for them so you
can contact them directly.  BTW, if anyone is interested in a bolt-in cage
for an 80 or 90, let me know.  I have one built by FABCAR that is a street
cage (i.e., no door bars, doesn't meet SCCA GCRs) that I have no plans for
and would be willing to sell fairly cheaply.  Although it won't bolt-in to
the 4kq directly, it *can* be made to fit with a bit of modification ... I
was going to use it in my 4k Solo II car but decided it would be better to
have a custom cage made instead in view of the additional braces/bars that
are being installed to stiffen the shell (NOTE: this car will not have ANY
rubber bushings in the suspension!).
