I did the same thing to mount the cheeseball (tm) driving lights I've got on
the '84 5kS (metal sub-structure.)  No vibrations, yer right.  However, the
Rallye 2000 lights that the lighting fanatics here are talking about are
enormous, like 9 inches round.  Quite heavy too.  Also much brighter than our
pidly driving lights could ever dream of being!
