At a PCA driver ed event, I talked to a guy who towed his 944 with a   
5ktq. He claimed the car did it without much difficulty. I am a little   
skeptical, though. I tow a motor boat with my 200T (no quattro) automatic   
and, while it does it ok, it surely slows it down a bit, although you can   
eventually get up to fairly high speeds. My boat only weighs 1500-2000   
lbs.
