87 5k - Idle Stabilizer?

It's always something.  Just replaced the bomb (hydraulic pressure
accumulator), so the brake warning light doesn't come on after I step on the
brakes real hard.  Now, even though the engine idles normally after it's
warmed up, if I push in the clutch while slowing down, as when stopping at a
red light, the engine revs immediately drop to zero and the engine dies.  I
assume there is some type of idle stabilizer that has gone south.  Can
anyone confirm the diagnosis?
