Bearings in compressor clutch can be replaced.   Due to different
manufacturers, no part # list though.  Remove compressor clutch...system can
remain charged while compressor hangs down on top of something to avoid
damaging the billion dollar hoses, typically by threading a bolt into upper
compressor clutch plate.....usually a US thread you don't have a spare bolt
to try...or a puller on others but watch it, amazing how soft --the expected
to have been hardened-- threaded end of compressor shaft is.  Once cluch is
off, circlips usually secure the bearing which is labeled with manufacturer
designation/part #'s.  Open the yellow pages of phone book....B e a r i n g
.......and a few calls later you can usually find them in the big city!  For
our firm the big cities, Rochester/Syracuse are an hours drive so UPS
overnight is next best thing.
