	I've seen bodycolor-matched "tape" placed on the front edges of the 
hood and front fenders to protect against stone chips. It seems to be real 
popular in Canada. The "tape" is cut to fit the edge contours (about 3-4cm 
wide) and looks like the stuff you see on the front of the rear fender flare 
of a 911. It's only noticeable if you're standing right in front of the car. 
It even comes in metallic. I don't have any source info now, but will look it 
up when I'm in the Great White North in the beginning of April.
