I can't imagine Illinois maintains their roads any better than the DC area
does. DC won't fix potholes untill small children start getting lost in them.
Because of this, you best be carefull what size wheels you put on the V8. I
put a set of 17" rims on my TQ in January, and within two months I'd destroyed
two rims & one D40M2. Jackass that I am, I had no snows at the time. Unless
you've got (or are planning to get) a set of winter shoes for the V8 which you
_will_ run from December to April, REGARDLESS of whether or not there's snow on
the ground, I'd advise against the 17's, OR start saving your penny's for new
wheels as you need them.
