Re: Third gear grind



Mike,  It sounds like the syncro has had its day.  Clean shifts are 
possible with a little finesse and some RPM matching.  My 2nd and 3rd 
gear syncros became intolerable at about 100,000 miles so I all the 
syncros replaced along with worn bearings etc.
