Audi models not coming to US
Sunday's Chicago Tribune had the following Audi-related item in a longer
story about the Geneva Auto Show:
"Audi S8, the performance companion to the big A8 Quattro sedan that
debuts this fall in the US. The more potent S8 gets a 4.2 liter, 340hp,
twin-cam, V8, firmer suspension and ultralow-profile tires on six-spoke
alloy wheels. No U.S. version of this limited edition model is planned."
>From another part of the same story:
"A well-known Italian marque, Isotta Fraschini, has been resurrected and
appears on a pair of Audi-based sports cars--a coupe and a convertible
designated T8. Reportedly based on an earier styling study by
Italdesign, the T8 uses the 4.2 liter, 300hp, twin-cam, V-8 and all wheel
drive Quattro systems from the Audi A8. There are no plans to market the
new 2+2 models in the U.S.
