Aluminum heads and steel components in the same fluid lead to 
galvanic corrosion - "bad stuff, man."

See above.  Seems like you get away with it for a while, but the 
system goes bad if you keep it long-term.  Most folks who trade every 
three to five years won't notice it, but the folks on this list 
will...they keep cars long-term so the cooling system problem has 
time to develop.
