In Korea where my family lives we have to pay extraordinary taxes on new 
foreign cars. That's what probably brought up the price on the Golf so much. 
But for used cars it is a bit different. My mother is going to get the Lexus 
LS400 shipped there so she can drive it while she is there, and tax 
burden isn't going to be that much.
