Was' under the door skin?

On the way home from work last night, Dunce in her Cavalier sideswiped my TQ.
Her rear view mirror hit my rear drivers door handle, punching the metal about
two inches in around the front of the handle, probably would have broken the
window if it'd been down. The door handle still works, door opens & closes
just dandy, I *think* a good body shop can pull the dent out so you can't tell
anything's been done. The paint is chipped badly, but it looks like it's all
under where the door handle will be, so some clear paint should fix the rust
possibilities. I don't want the door to be painted, they'd never match the
color right. I know the handle needs replacing, but what does the handle mount
to under the door skin? In the front I mean, what does that single phillips
attach to? It looks like the mount is towards the rear of the car from the
front mount, so under the divit where the door lever resides, but this is all
from looking at things from outside, so I dunno. TIA for any "Insight."

P.S., yes I got her credentials, her insurance Co. WILL be footing this bill...
