Power on comes from the yellow lead from the radio, turns white somewhere
and enters the booster @ 3/L (also feeds the antenna)
Power comes from fuse S29, red lead and enters booster @ L/5 (also taps off
to antenna).
Input to booster
Right neg - black/white lead from radio to booster @ 1/L. also taps off
there to duosound unit, joins left neg (black lead)
left neg - black lead from radio to duosound - ends there.
Right pos - blue lead from radio to duosound, leaves duosound as blue/red,
enters booster @ 6/L
Left pos - red lead from radio to duosound, leaves duosound as red/green,
enters booster @ L/2
Booster outputs
brown - ground for unit - from 4/L @ booster to cig lighter ckt.
black/white - from 2/R - neg for right woofer and tweeter
red/green - from 5/R - neg for left woofer and tweeter
blue/yellow - from 1/R - pos for right woofer
blue/green - from 3/R - pos for right tweeter
black - from 4/R - pos for left tweeter
red/yellow - from 6/R - pos for left woofer
To troubleshoot (from the hip!):
hook up a headphone to duosound and flip switches to see if you're getting
sound from head unit.
if not, try switching outputs front to rear on the head unit.
if sound works, check for power (with head unit on): +12V to ground at
yellow lead at head unit, then white lead at booster and antenna. this will
check your power on circuit.
then check fuse S29, and check for +12V to ground at red lead at antenna and
red lead at booster - this checks main power to the unit.
Now you've checked input signal, and power to the unit, and power on signal.
Somewhere there should be the problem. If power on signal is gone, or main
power, try bypassing with a lead straight from the battery to the
appropriate connection. That should do it.
Since in your orig post you said antenna didn't work either, bets are its in
one of the power circuits.
If none of this works, throw it as far as you can and get another one from
the junkyard - chances are you can get one for 10 bucks, since they won't
have a clue what it is!
Yes, I'm a nuke electrician. This thing crashed 6 times while doing this,
and if anyone thinks W95 is more reliable than 3.1, I've got some stories to
tell you... ;-(
