EUROPEAN HEADLIGHT UPDATE. PLEASE READ.

EUROPEAN HEADLIGHT UPDATE. PLEASE READ.

This is a LONG post and is broken up into two parts: 1) TQC headlights and
2) 5000s headlights.

Section 1:

My deepest apologies to those TQC, 4k, and coupe owners I've excited with my
offer to sell my old set of one piece European headlights. They are still
for sale, BUT ....

I spoke with our local Audi dealer today. I found out they stock the
European replacement lenses for a few Audi models (5000s and others). The
parts guy said that the TQC euro lenses and reflectors were inseperatably
glued together and unlike the 5000, 100, 200 etc., were available as a unit
only.

As one of the lenses is cracked, the carrier and amber turn signal lens
assembly are the only parts worth keeping. The replacement lens and
reflector assembly is about $130.

OK, so I have one complete headlight/turn signal assembly and a carrier and
turn signal assembly that needs a $130 lens/reflector part to make it perfect.

I don't want to keep this stuff around, so someone make me a reasonable
offer knowing what a new euro lights conversion kit would cost and how much
the replacement lens/reflector is. You can check the replacement prices at
Sunset Imports at 800-346-0182 or (503) 641-8600.

I'm open to trades (Audi books, parts, etc.) as well.

Section 2:

And now the GOOD NEWS!

The 5000s European headlight lenses are replaceable (no surprise). Sunset
Audi stocks them for $65 each (big surprise).

I need to sell the spare set of euro headlights I have for my wagon. These
are the BIG one piece assemblies that came out on the later 5000S non-turbo
cars.

Price: $200 for the pair as is or I'll replace the lens that's cracked for
what it costs me and sell the pair for $265! That's about half the price of
a new set! Of course I'm open to reasonable offers, and shipping is not
included!

For those among us with cracked, euro lenses, I'm willing to call Sunset
Imports if you don't have the means.

I apologize for the long post; I hope it was useful.
