Thanks to those that offered their spare Rothenburgs, but RELAYER graciously
let me use his spare Pioneer until I can fix my Nakamichi. Took me 1.5 hours
and the Audi never sounded so good. I also had to hook up only the + to the
rear inputs to get clear sound. I also have to keep the fader partway to not
overdrive the rear.

This rear stuff is interesting. I'll have to do some more digging on this.
Could be just ground interference, I guess.

I do have a VW/Audi Rothenburg US Stereo CR operating instruction booklet I
found in a junkyard - I'll make copies if anyone wants. Gives all the
specs... Won't give it away just yet though...
