Timing Belt intervals.

Audi publishes them in the service book, here
are excerpts from the one I got with the V8Q.
To maintain warranty following must be completed
to be eligible for claims. Timing/regular belts are
part of these interval requirements.
30K mile service: Timing Belt, V8 Check/Adjust
60K mile service: Vbelts, All Check/Adjust
(except V8, S4)
90K mile service: Timing Belt, V8 Replace
(This info has been updated
to lower mileage later on.)
I find it difficult to envision Audi only publishing
requirements for the V8 and not the rest of the
model line, but they've done stranger things.
On non-interference engines not too much to worry
about. When I take into account the $60+ valves et.al
of the V8Q I make sure I change the belt every two years,
regardless of mileage. Cheap insurance since I do the
work myself.
... Mistrust first impulses, they are always good.
