one other very important item---VW/Audi wheels are hub-centric--that is, the
wheel centers on the hub center, not by using the bolts (tho you can often
get away with it). The MB wheels, although using the same bolt circle and
perhaps (usually not) offset, have a different hub diameter--you'll need
adapter rings to make this work properly.
sad story: shortly after i bought my '91 200q, i passed up an opportunity
to buy a set of 16" BBS RG (7.5 or 8) for my car--they were fitments for a
MB and used adapter rings to fit the Audi. they were from the Tire Rack at
a great price (like around $225-250 ea, orig retail over $500) since the RG
was a closeout. the RG, btw, is the OE wheel (but in 15") on the '91 200q.
had just bought the car, so i was a bit short on free cash--live and learn :(
