Car movies, the Final Word?
Rendezvous was made by some famous French director named LeLouch or
something. I don't think the royalties were probably much of an issue.
Copying it is not a good idea, as much of the detail is lost (how would I
know? Uhm....)
The Italian Job is a great car flick, assuming you despise English cars. Two
XKE's get it, along with an Aston Martin convertible, the three minis, and a
gaggle of Fiats and Alfas. Good scenery though, and some neat driving. The
Miura WAS real, but had no engine or drivetrain in it.
Sadly can't think of any movies with Quattros in it. Can someone rate the
various propoganda videos available? I know there is the Quattro Experience
and one or two others, some are good and some are mediocre. I have Michele
Mouton explains Rallying which has some good Quattro footage.
Lastly, a bad foreign film sometimes shown on the tube called "The Burglars"
with Omar Sharif has a great car chase done by Remy Juliennne between a Fiat
124 and an Opel Kadett. Trust me, it's much better than it sounds....
