yes, i was a bit puzzled about the incident described. why was the rear diff not locked? as has been explained in a recent post on this thread, the only solution to the situation the poster found himself in was to have front and/or rear differentials with some sort of locking action.
in a similar situation with my coupe s2, i'd lock the rear diff, drive off and keep my speed below 25 km/hr (at which point the diff lock disengages). the torsen would make sure most of the torque went to the rear axle,and the diff lock would distribute that 50% per side.
i'd also try not to do too many corners ;-)
