I signed a contract for an A4Q on Feb 10th... for a car that
was supposedly being loaded onto a boat headed for the US
immanently. Well, the dealer screwed up, and that car didn't
match what I wanted. They couldn't find one to swap, so they
ordered me one. I am *still* waiting for it... it's currently
"in production". I'm at wits end, I've sold my current car
but the buyers aren't going to wait much longer, and I
don't know what to do about it.
Anyway, the current A4 situation is this: there are *lots*
of A4's. There are *not* a lot of A4 quattros. Dealers seem
to have a few in stock, but if you have a specific set of
options that you want or don't want on the car, you're gonna
wait.
Yes, they are discounting (I suspect that there's an incentive
program)... going price seems to be 4 to 6% over list, AFAIK.
Good luck getting one... if you can be flexible about color
and options, it may not be a problem.
