I responded to the earlier post describing my experience with my
BearTracker II, but I'm not sure it actually posted...
They are pretty neat...not failsafe, but a great addition to your radar
detector. I use mine only on road trips, too many police in metro areas.
I got mine at Crutchfields for $199.

Correct.
I think it might also detect radar, but I'm not sure on that,
No, but I seem to remember hearing that...Maybe the series I did? That
might explain some of the size difference. The II is much smaller.

It also comes with its own antennae...

If you'd like to use mine for a couple of weeks, I have meetings on the
west coast for two weeks coming up...last week of Apr. and first week of
May. I'd be happy to lend it to you...I'm in DC, so shipping UPS would
probably only be a few bucks each way.
