Cleaning Clay
While washing/waxing my A4 I noticed that the paint surface has small
spots on it (like tree sap). Also, my clearcoat has a few scratches on
one side where a bird dumped on it and I tried to remove the dried
remains with water and a towel. Hmm, it just struck me that I've not
had good luck with birds - my A4 has gotten dumped on (unknown perp) and
pecked at by horny wild turkeys. BTW, I solved the turkey problem by
getting a garage for the A4.
My question is, what is a good way to get rid of clearcoat scratches?
On a black car they show up clearly. Also, I saw an ad for Cleaning
Clay by Griot's Garages. Thought I could use that to get rid of the
tree stains. Has anyone used this? Any other tips/inputs?
Thanks,
Byas
