bleeding the hydraulic clutch

Subject: bleeding the hydraulic clutch                                          
well i don't think it was my bleeding procedure.  after genuflecting and        
then faithfully offering master and slave clutch cylinders <10K miles           
ago, the slave cyl is toast.  after i pressure bled the system before           
leaving for work i noticed a brake fluid puddle on the garage floor.            
thought it was spillage from the g*d* leaky connection at the reservoir         
during bleeding.  got in the car to go home and the pedal hit the floor.        
their was a suspiciously similar puddle of fluid under the tranny.              
5 gallons of gas and a road flare would fix it!  either that or i could         
offer up YET ANOTHER slave cylinder.  meantime i get to drag my bleeder         
to the parking lot at work and "field bleed" it so's i can get it home          
for the next procedure (cyl replacement).  then i get to bleed it all           
over again.  i'm working on my second gallon of brake fluid by now.             
should be pretty well flush out by the time i'm done.
