Re: Heathen taunting!

I have a good one for you.

I was at Killington this weekend and I stayed at the Killington Resort
Villages where BMW with traction control is the "official" car of the
village. When I checked in, they asked me if I would like to
     test-drive a "BMW with traction control". Heh...heh...heh. Well I
just sort of blankly looked at the guy and said "why? I have an Audi
Quattro". He started going on about how the BMW traction control is
the best in the business and I told him again "I have an Audi
Quattro". Now he started getting mad. I just chuckled, asked for my
     room key and left.

I think BMW needs to train their sales people a little better :)

BTW. spotted a pearl CQ and a silver V8Q while in Vermont.

Well,

I was driving to the store tonight, turning left onto a reasonably
busy street. I found a small gap in traffic, and nailed the quattro 3/4
throttle to get into traffic without getting hit, or getting in anyone's
way. Well, it seems I offended the driver of an old early '80s Pontiac
LeMans when I passed him, because he turned into Autoworks where I was
going, and when I got out, he said, half joking, and half seriously, "you
better not think that you can beat this car with _THAT_ car."

As if it would be rude, and improper to beat a 'murican car with
one of 'em furrin cars! The nerve!

I said, with a chuckle "You wanna believe I can beat that car!"

:-)
