   Being a two wheeler as well, I don't reallly buy the cheese grater
argument, though I don't doubt cross drilled bike rotors may cause some
higher wear than on cars.  On bike rotors, they are not thick enough to
allow for chamfering of the holes front and back,(angling the holes like a
funnel) most good auto places will offer this on there rotors expressly to
reduce the pad wear you describe.
