Of the handful leather cleaner (not "conditioner") I have tried, pretty
much all of them will take dye more or less. My motto for those cleaners
is "put it on fast, and take 'em out fast." You should work one small
area at a time. Cleaner has its uses. And when used right, they can take
out stubbern stains.
