My 79 5KS - was not made this way, and I avoided the factory recall. I would
occasionally get asked questions about unintended accel. My reply would be:
"My Audi has 235,000 miles on it, and it has never run over anyone I didn't
want it to."

If it weren't for UA - many of us couldn't afford the fine vehicles we drive
today... Keep the ignorant that way!
