There is a nice article about the upcoming new Audi engines
in the December 1995 issue of VW Audi Car, starting on page 59.

The three engines talked about are the 1.9 L TDI (110hp),
the 2.8 L 5 valve V6 (193hp), and the 1.8 L 5 valve I4 (125hp).
The article includes nice color cutaway sketches of each engine,
an explanation of how the variable valve timing works, and the
torque-&-hp-VS-rpm curves for each engine.

The text of the article is in English, but the torque&rpm diagrams
are in German with axes labeled in kiloWatts and Newton-meters.

For the 5 valve V6:

	2.771 L
	five valves/cylinder
	variable valve timing
	variable induction tract length
	142 kW (193 HP) at 6000 rpm
	280 Nm (206 lbft) at 3200 rpm
The chart stops just at about 6250 rpm.

For the 5 valve I4:

	1.781 L
	five valves/cylinder
	variable valve timing
	variable induction tract length
	92 kW (125 HP) at 5800
	168 Nm (124 lbft) at 3500 rpm
The chart stops just at about 6250 rpm.

For the 4 cylinder TDI

	1.896 L
	variable turbine geometry
	81 kW (110 HP) at 4150 rpm
	225 Nm (166 lbft) from 1700 to 3000 rpm.
The chart stops just at about 4600 rpm.

The articles are very good reading.

I also have around here somewhere Audi brochures (in Italian)
for the A6, S6, and A8. Amongst lots of nice pictures, in
these pages I also found torque and power curves for the
following engines:
	2.6 L V6 150 HP 2 valve
	2.8 L V6 174 HP 2 valve
	2.0 L I4 100 HP 2 valve
	2.0 L I4 115 HP 2 valve
	1.9 L TDI 88 HP
	2.5 L I5 TDI 115 HP
	2.2 L I5turbo 230 HP 4 valve
	4.2 L V8 290 HP 4 valve S6!!
	4.2 L V8 300 HP 4 valve A8

Yes, you read that right, there an S6 with the 4.2 L V8.
