WHEELS

G'day all!
I've stumbled across a large number of wheels from an ex rally Ur-Q. If I
am interpreting the symbol on them correctly, they are Fuchs. I cant be
sure coz Fuchs are not sold down here. The symbol is a stylised two part
'f' & an 's'. Anyway theese are 390mm metric rims mostly 6" but some are
7". Most are unpainted & look like they never been used. I was suprised by
the weight of these things, I didnt have any scales with me on top of the
pallet racking where I was balanced, but they are very light.

The guy who has them offered them to me @ $50 each or $40 if I took the
lot. he called me again today, & it looks like he's open to offers.

While I have no direct financial interest in the supplier, I am getting a
variety of bits from him and the sale of the wheels would put me in a
better bargaining position!

The wheels were originally imported by a property developer who decided to
go rallying, along with the wheels he imported 2 Ur-Qs, lots of AudiSport
parts and a full time mechanic. He lost interest when he destroyed both
cars within the two year contract he had with the mechanic.

I've also managed to track down the 15" wheels he had, theese are the same
style but noe belong to an architect who was going to race an Alfa 105. He
is now in the middle of a divorce & may be in need of cash very soon. He
has had the wheels machined to match Simmons 1 or 2 piece rims so the
widths and offset can be varied. I think he'll be asking about $100 ea.

The same guy also has the calipers & rotors from the car. They are massive!
Apparently they fit inside a 15" wheel with only mm to spare.I've only seen
the rotors, which are very interesting. They have an alloy center with a
slotted steel rotor slip jointed to it.The ventilation is very unusual,
having fine curved vanes between the two faces. If anyone knows what these
are, and what theyre worth, please let me know.
I have they adjustable struts that they came off, but have no idea what to
offer him for them.

Cheers
