Built-in Voltmeter
With all this talk on batteries going dead, bad alternators, etc., I thought I
would pass a long something I learned today.
For all of you who have no voltmeter on your car but have the electronic climate
control, you have a built in voltmeter. For those who have a voltmeter, you
could use the two against each other.
TO ACCESS VOLTMETER:
Put the climate control system into the diagnostics mode by depressing the
outside temperature button (hold it) and press the OFF button. Press the warmer
temperature button until "11" comes up. Then hit the cooler temperature button
once and there you go! A digital voltmeter.
Pretty cool I think, especially considering how many times I hooked a hand held
one up under the hood and put it so I could read it through the window as I
cycled loads on and off.
