I didn't grind them down myself, they did it for me at the dealer.  I don't
know what they used, but the screws came out perfectly smooth and round.
And since some of the paint came off in the process, I soaked them in paint
remover and took the rest off.  Now they are a brushed-aluminum color...very
cool looking against the black mats...

I'll see if I can find out from the guy at the dealer what he used.  Best
part of all, it didn't cost me a cent (unheard of for an Audi dealer, eh?  ;)
